Buddha Bark Celebrity & Canine Style Lounge

The Buddha Bark Celebrity & Canine Style Lounge was THE place to go this past weekend for all the grooming needs for you and your pooch. Featuring tons of doggie-centric vendors and products, the Buddha Bark Celebrity & Canine Lounge was a great place to get massaged, shampooed, fed and watered.

There was the Wizard of Paws Mobile Pet Styling Loung, a van where your pet could enjoy only the finest in house pet styling and beauty, Backyard in a Box from the Pet Loo, which is exactly what it sounds like; Beasty Bling, whose neckware for pets knows no bound for decadence (you can even get matching bling for you and your pet@); and Petography, photography to capture your pet in its most tender of moments.

And – because the pets couldn’t get there without their doting owners – there were plenty of services and goodies for people too. Starting with Swirls, the oh-so-delicious cupcake bakery from Sherman Oaks that was sampling their chocolate, red velvet, strawberry cupcakes, among lots of other exotic flavors of cupcake.  The Green Lantern Organic Café catered the event, located in Studio City, and offering an entire spread of organic and vegetarian tasty bites like vegetarian sushi, salads, noodles and nachos.

To compliment the catering, True Beans coffee was there with ample samples of their small-batch roasted coffee, a blend from Indonesia, Ethiopia and Peru. True Beans has partnered with Music Saves Live to create More Perks coffee, whose sales benefits the Music Saves Lives organization, a nonprofit that baits young people to participate in life-saving events with music-related perks like free concert tickets and meet and greets with the artists all the kids are listening to these days.

Wen Hair & Body was offering shampoos and blow-drys using their Wen All-In-One Shampoo & Conditioner that hydrates hair like nobody’s business. My stylist, Jeanette, took extra care on my damaged rat’s nest and even a few days later, my hair is just as healthy as the day it was born.

Overall, The Buddha Bark Celebrity & Canine Style Lounge was a great way to spend a weekend afternoon, pet in arms or not! The people services and products were fantastic and the pet goods were off the charts, judging by the reaction of the furry creatures wandering around underfoot.
