Kate Noto is a gemologist, art historian and pet enthusiast turned pet jewelry designer. Kate studied art history and antique jewelry as an expression of historical periods. She became a gemologist to have all the tools necessary to being an antique jewelry dealer. Kate now lives and works in Southern California, designing and handcrafting one-of-a-kind neckpieces for pets.
“Personal adornment is a very intimate creative expression both in the design process and in the choices made by the wearer,” said Noto. “We enjoy adorning the things we love, for me, that included my pets.”
Kate unites the pet and fashion world with her distinctive and sometimes whimsical jewelry designs. Much like runway couture, each of Kate’s pieces is a unique personal expression, influenced by the wearer and the materials.Her pieces are not ostentatious but are beyond common with hand-selected stones and individualized designs.
“Our pets are an extension of ourselves and at the same time the objects of our affection. This is why we have a love affair with all things pet related,” said Noto. “I create a variety of neckpieces so that there is an appropriate piece for every pet persona.” Subsequently, you can be sure your neighbor’s pet won’t be sporting the same bling.
